Wellness Fair

Within walking distance of Newton Center T stop. Directions to Andover Newton and a campus map can be found here.

The Newton Symphony Orchestra presents a special weekend of events focused on the knowledge that music has the power to transform lives—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  The Healing Power of Music ~ The Mind/Body/Spirit Connection is a two-day program for all ages—music-lovers of all genres and those who seek to learn more about the many ways that music has been used for centuries and across cultures to promote healing, respite, and personal fulfillment.

The Day-long Wellness Fair on Saturday, February 27th, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. includes presentations and lectures by a wide range of noted experts in the field, speaking on topics ranging from music therapy to stress management to research on the positive effects of music for the elderly.  An exhibit hall will include displays and educational materials from health and wellness organizations throughout the greater Boston area, and chamber music interludes will be interspersed throughout the day.

Tickets for the Wellness Fair are $20 per person which includes admission to all lectures and presentations, entry to the exhibit hall, and chamber music throughout the day. NSO subscriber tickets for the Wellness Fair are $5.  For an additional $10 per person, fair attendees will also receive a ticket to the Sunday afternoon concert (an average $30 value).  Tickets for the concert only are available for $27 - $32 with a $5 discount for seniors and students, and $10 for children under 14.
